When the Real Estate Market started to deteriorate in late 2005, I noticed an exploding demand in Mortgage Modifications.  For the first time in
Modern History, lenders were willing to renegotiate the original terms of the loan they made with borrowers for the better.  This is unprecedented!!

Unfortunately, this did not come without problems.  Failing mortgaging brokers, car salesmen, stock clerks and anybody else looking for a quick buck  
jumped on the "band wagon".  Modification companies started popping up 'like weeds'.  As questions about loan modification companies arise,
we are now learning that many of them are turning up to be scams.  A high tech way of stealing money from consumers.

To make matters worse, the Government has recently  given money to Banks in an effort to persuade them to offer modifications directly to the
consumer.  Most lenders realize that if they are approached by a consumer who is not prepared, they will generally offer them a weak or poor
modification result.  By doing so, they can protect their high rate of return(your interest rate!), while still being qualified for government money. When
the banks realize that you are unprepared, they will take advantage of you--plain and simple!  Remember, most institutions will only give you one shot
at a loan modification.  If you fail or accept an undesirable result, your stuck.  The bank met its government requirement, and does not have offer you
another modification for 12 months.
